I joined the three day Giant Health Event on day two and three. I had no clue what to expect. I just graduated from Kingston University in MA Communication Design after working as a user experience designer for a few years. The problems that we are facing nowadays are changing as well as the technologies we can use to create solutions. I believe that as a designer it is relevant to be close and help to create a bridge between technology and society.

Mind the gap (Stephanie’s Reflective Essay)
I traded my life in a small city for the big adventure, which made me being happy and uncomfortable. Leaving my beloved city Zurich and my job was not easy – but then nothing that is worth it is easy, right? I left behind my family, friends and known environment to start a new chapter in London. In this new chapter, the focus was on learning how to build and run a start-up based on design thinking methods.
Do we have to become superhumans?
It’s almost summer and my time at University will come to an end in a couple of months. It’s time for the job search! I’m excited about that and it made me think a lot about skills that are needed today but also about skills that will be needed in the future.
Change is the air we breathe
The weather is constantly changing. One day it is sunny and the next day there is almost a thunderstorm. We adapt to it daily and sometimes every minute. We open our umbrellas when it starts raining and we close them when it stops. It sounds easy.
Treat your career path as a start-up and learn on the way
What do you want to be when you grow up? Everyone has heard this question a million times. The answer to this question was some standard answer which was accepted by society. But these answers were very limited and would probably not cover everyone’s interest.
