Boxing has opened up a whole new world for me. Kat says “you can’t be grateful and angry at the same time”. And what Kat says has to be true because there is one rule at 12 Rounds Boxing. Your coach is always right (even if they are wrong). If you break the rule you have to do 20 burpees and I still have a love/hate relationship with those. So let’s go back to being grateful. I’m grateful that I’m open to learning new skills and that this journey has brought me to boxing. Boxing is hard work but even more important it’s fun and it’s a way to become the person I want to be. Someone who feels strong, confident and empowered.

Do we have to become superhumans?
It’s almost summer and my time at University will come to an end in a couple of months. It’s time for the job search! I’m excited about that and it made me think a lot about skills that are needed today but also about skills that will be needed in the future.
Why sales skills are a valuable asset for everyone
After I wrote “Why financial skills are a valuable asset for everyone” I decided to write an additional part about sales skills. In every job, I worked before I came to London I never had to sell any products or services. There was always a sales department who was responsible for that. These companies had a good reputation, a solid customer base and a lot of employees. It is different if you start your own business.
Lead with your brain & with your heart
No one ever asked me to lead a team. No one ever taught me how to lead a team. And that’s fine, because someone not telling me what to do, was never an issue for me. I always do what I believe in.
