Yes, I am straightforward but with a handful of empathy. I share insights, reflections and hands-on experience. I write about skills, design thinking and random stuff I care about from a designer's perspective. Writing helps me to confront myself with certain topics and create an opinion. It develops my own understanding, clears my mind, organises my thoughts and it is a lot of fun.
After one day at the Giant Health Event, I knew it was definitely a smart decision to come here. I already got a pretty good impression of what is going on in healthcare and technology. The process of innovating in healthcare felt similar to the design thinking approach: Empathise, define, ideate, prototype, test…and repeat. This time, I decided to attend the presentation series of Health Apps since this is the field I’m coming from – designing websites and apps are part of my world.
I joined the three day Giant Health Event on day two and three. I had no clue what to expect. I just graduated from Kingston University in MA Communication Design after working as a user experience designer for a few years. The problems that we are facing nowadays are changing as well as the technologies we can use to create solutions. I believe that as a designer it is relevant to be close and help to create a bridge between technology and society.
